PBC Academy Application

This is an initial application to learn a little about you and your dog. After reviewing the initial submissions, we will be in touch to go over additional details.

If you are applying for multiple dogs please complete separate applications for each of your dogs.
Please list your dog's DOB if you know it. If not, list their age at the time you are completing the application (as opposed to when your dog will be here).
Application for PBC Academy(Required)
For 2026, PBCA will have two tracks that dogs can participate in. Any new dog must start off in the Intensive track. After that, owners can choose to graduate out of PBCA, continue on the Intensive track or move to the Maintenance track. A detailed description of the tracks is on the website with the rest of the Academy Information.

If you have preferences on days to come, or flexibility, or just more information on which days you'd like your dog to come, here's the place to write it down! This is where you can also tell us if you any strict limitations for days you absolutely can't come.
Please check which, if any, commands your dog can do IF you do have food and the distraction level is relatively low.
Examples of this are in class, when you've had time to set up a scenario for practice, when the dog has calmed down, etc.
Please be as specific as possible. Tell us if there are commands you want your dog to know or if you have scenarios you are hoping to go better (like loose leash walking through downtown or coming when called on an off-leash Sunday AM hike).

Maintenance includes the following, please indicate if you will be actively following or watching any of the options. Trainers will not include videos for owners unable to watch and give feedback. All PBCA dogs will receive a written summary with future recommendations.
For dogs on the Intensive track, the success of reaching goals is highly dependent on communication and collaboration between you and your trainer. At the same time we know real life is happening! The expectation is that the following can be achieved at least 80% of the time (on your end). We can be flexible with how the communication is most effective, but it's a piece of the track that has to happen in some way. If owners are not communicating with trainers, we will not move forward with the dog's plan.
